Beach Music = Sand Section

What most people don’t realize is how entertaining, laid-back, loyal and absolutely kick ass the South Bay music scene is. With tons of local bands rocking the beach night life, the hot topic of the scene is Sand Section!

They are a band that truly defines the sound of "surf roots" music! Everything about their band screams “surf roots”, from their beach bum look, killer vibe, where they grew up, even their band name.

Their debut album “Truth Over Harmony” has such a unique sound with a mix of acoustic, reggae, rock and breath taking harmonies, it was no surprise that their show at Saint Rocke Saturday night was sold out before doors opened!

I’ve had the privilege of growing up with these three talented beach bums since grammar school. After they sound checked and before they went on stage, I got to sit down and have a couple words with the boys about their new album, guest appearances on the CD, tour plans, and even dug into the true meaning behind their hit single “Doubled Over”.

If you are ever in the South Bay and want to have a fun and mellow beach night, make sure you check out their site SandSectionMusic.com to see where they are playing next! Or hit up ResinMusic.com for more local beach shows!

To watch my full interview with Sand Section, hit up Surf Roots on youtube! AND you can download their entire CD for free on their web site at www.SandSectionMusic.com
